At the end of the Bary Way we reached Lakes Entrance on the south coast. We did not stay there for long though it was a nice place. We went to see some Oil rigs at night. They were far out though, so not much could be seen.

Next stop was Philip Island. The island is popular for the Penguin Parade and motor races. No races were on so we went to see the Pinguins. This turned out to be a good but also bit weird evening. At the spot on the beach where the pinguins come up at night there was two stadion-size sections of seats for up to 4000 people! Apart from the commercialized feel this added it was good fun to watch the thousands of small pinguins run up the beach to their nests.

In Melbourne we went to a few museums, the old Gaol, Cooks Cottage, Crown casino, a few restaurants (incl. The Flaming Bull where we had croc, roo, wallabi etc.). We also went to the theater to see "We Will Rock You" - a musical with all the Queen songs. That was really good.
