We were rather excited to go to Steve Irwin's Australian Zoo. We have heard much about him and the zoo. I must admit we were a bit disappointed about what we saw. While it was a rather large zoo it did not have nearly as meany different animals as the one in Aalborg. But they had a few animals that we got some nice close encounters with. We were allowed to pet the cute Koalas and the Kangaroos could both be fed and petted. It was all done in "walk-in" cages where you walked around among the animals - that was a quite special experience.

On the down side there was no Steve Irwin to see and a new "Crocuseum" was not yet finished. It will be a big 5000 seat stadium where crocodile feeding shows will be shown. We saw the show at smaller venues which still was rather exciting.

We headed for Gold Coast to stay for the night.
